FC Nantes is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre-Alain Picard as the head coach of its women's team. The 35-year-old technician has signed a deal until June 30, 2028. After a historic season concluded in fourth place in the Arkema First League and a qualification for the playoffs, FC Nantes continues its development with the will to inscribe itself in the continuity of the work done in recent years. An experienced profile in women's football Arrived at Dijon FCO in 2017, Pierre-Alain Picard has held several positions within the Burgundian club. After two seasons as head of the U14 boys' category, he joined the women's section in 2019 as assistant coach of the professional team. In 2022, he took responsibility for the women's formation pole and the U19 women's teams, which he accompanied several times in the Elite phase. In the summer of 2024, he returned to the professional group and participated in the development of the Dijon team in the Arkema First League. He finished in sixth place last season and in the top four two years ago. A new development cycle Pierre-Alain Picard will be accompanied by Pilar Khoury, assistant coach. Former FC Nantes player, she returns to the club after several experiences, including at FC Metz where she held the positions of assistant coach of the first team and coach of the U19 women's team. The technical staff will also be composed of Quentin Pinet, assistant coach, and Maxime Lerat, physical trainer, who worked alongside Pierre-Alain Picard at Dijon. Already present at the club, Quentin Rivet will continue his mission as video analyst for the professional group. In replacement of Fabien Varenne, the goalkeeper coach will be communicated soon. Around the pitch, Lucie Beaufreton (physical therapist), Claire Lossec (osteopath), Cécile Bernot (podologist) and Marie Gomez (psychologist) will also accompany the players this season. Following the departure of Élise Bernardeau, the position of doctor will be communicated later. The administrative staff remains unchanged with Nicolas Ménard (Administrative Manager - Team Manager), Noa Prigent (Administrative Assistant - Player Care), Nathalie Querouil (Communication Manager - Press Relations) and Nicolas Esor (Intendant).
